Therapy is...
...a collaborative journey involving an individualized treatment plan tailored to your needs and goals. We will work together to determine strengths, uncover issues needing resolution, find the most effective interventions for change, build your resilience, and create a plan to prevent relapse.
About me...
Greetings from beautiful Southern Arizona. Thank you for your interest in working with me and enriching your life with the services I provide.
Education: My educational background includes a BA degree in Psychology & Counseling from Bucknell University, a MA Degree in Psychology & Behavioral Medicine from Connecticut College, and a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Health Psychology from the University of Miami. I have trained at Harvard and Yale affiliated programs, and completed my Doctoral, Internship and Post-Doctoral residency at academic & medical institutions accredited by the American Psychological Association.
Licensure: After 10 years of post-Bachelor’s degree training, I have been a licensed clinical psychologist since 1999. I hold full licensure in Arizona and Colorado. I am also licensed to practice telehealth psychology through PsyPact, which currently includes 40 states. To see if your state participates, click HERE. In order for us to work together, we will both need to be in a PsyPact state when services are rendered.
Focus: My practice stems from my interest in integrative health, which includes wellness across many areas. I am trained in the general practice of Clinical Psychology with a specialty in Health & Medical Psychology. I utilize CBT, Systems Theory, Insight-Oriented, and Solution-Focused techniques. My training includes Mindfulness Meditation with Jon Kabat-Zinn Ph.D.; the EAGALA method of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy & Learning; Clinical Hypnosis; and studies in Integrative Medicine. I am also trained as a Court Mediator and am a plant-based chef.
Areas of Service: I work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationship issues, health & medical issues including pain and chronic illness, terminal illness, recent diagnoses requiring dietary and lifestyle changes, and people anticipating surgical procedures such as gastric surgery, pain pump placement, organ transplantation, fertility treatments and other medical procedures that require a pre-surgical psychological evaluation. I work with mainly adults, couples and families but also see children who have a medical condition such as Diabetes, Cystic Fibrosis, etc. I do not work specifically with ADHD or active substance abuse issues.

Policies - payments - cancellations
My goal is to provide you individualized services. In order to best do so, I do not accept insurance. This maintains your confidentiality, provides me more time to focus on your treatment, permits a flexible treatment plan, and allows me to collaborate with you in the most effective & comprehensive care possible.
Payment is due through the online portal at the time of reserving an appointment; credit or debit cards accepted. Please select the service type and session length desired. If you cancel at least 48 hrs prior to your appointment, a full refund is issued.
Good Faith Estimate and No Surprise Billing
In accordance with the No Surprises Act, Inspire Therapy & Wellness wants to ensure that all clients are aware that they can receive a “Good Faith Estimate” to help them estimate out of pocket expenses for treatment performed by our office. Please be aware that this estimate is not a bill, and it does not obligate the client to participate in services. While there is no guarantee regarding the number of sessions needed to treat a client nor the efficacy of those treatments, we want our clients to be aware of costs, so they can make an informed decision about care.
Cancellation/No-show Policy
For a full refund, cancellations must be made 48 hrs in advance of the appointment time. Cancellations within 48 hrs, or missed appointments are charged the full fee. Please note, we do offer a one-session “grace” of no fees associated with a late cancellation or no-show of a therapy session (does not apply to Assessments.)
